TORONTO, May 15, 2025 – Securian Canada, a leading insurance provider of innovative, life-ready insurance solutions in Canada, is pleased to announce the release of the Beyond Business Report: Securian Canada’s Inclusion in Action. This inaugural report provides the first of what will become an annual summary of the initiatives taken by Securian Canada that had a positive impact on the lives of employees, clients, partners and local communities. Beyond Business also takes a deeper look into the company’s inclusion strategy and commitment to people from all walks of life in Canada.
“As a purpose-driven, people-first organization, we make it our mission to align our actions with our core values,” said Nigel Branker, Chief Executive Officer, Securian Canada. “In order to build secure tomorrows, we have a responsibility to show up for others – not just through the products and solutions we offer, but also through the intentional actions we take to support employees, clients, partners and members of our local communities. Beyond Business highlights the impactful work from 2024 and offers readers a glimpse into our unwavering commitment to inclusion and its significant role in our organization.”
The report also features details on some of Securian Canada’s strategic collaborations. These include:
- being the official life insurance partner of the Canadian Football League and presenting sponsor of the CFL’s Diversity in Football program, which provides opportunities for individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds to gain experience working in professional sports; and
- being the official life insurance partner of the Toronto Maple Leafs and presenting sponsor of the MLSE Foundation’s Home Ice Hockey program, which provides youth in underserved communities across the Greater Toronto Area with access to free equipment, coaching and ice time.
“While some companies are reconsidering the emphasis they place on diversity, equity and inclusion, we remain steadfast in our belief in the true value of embracing inclusion,” added Branker. “We will continue prioritizing and investing in people as a catalyst for long-term growth and success.”
